At Quality Quills, our hedgies are bred and cared for with health and temperament in mind. Being handled daily by many people and surrounded by the busy activities of a household, our babies are tame and make wonderful pets for the right people who will commit to caring for an animal with unique needs.

"I picked up my sweet little baby girl Persephone last week and while she was a bit nervous at first I woke this morning to find her food dish empty and "evidence" that she has been enjoying her wheel while I slept! She is a charming little girl and I already love her to pieces! After refilling her food dish and having a little cuddle with her this morning she is back under her fleece for more dream-time. I cannot recommend Quality Quills highly enough-Amanda does a fantastic job socializing the little ones and puts the welfare of the hedgies first, and this is why I chose Quality Quills for my own hedgie. "I am so glad that I went with Quality Quills when I got my little hedgie girl. I did research for months on hedgehogs and checked out the information on the websites of many breeders from Michigan but always came back to Quality Quills. Amanda’s love for her quilly babies is evident on her site and in her youtube videos, which are very educational and a great resource for a first time hedgehog owner. In February 2013, my husband and I decided that yes, a hedgehog was right for our family. And, what luck! Ariel and Jasper had just had a litter! I brought home my Aeris Von Pricklebottom on March 30th. Aeris is very well adjusted and had exactly the personality that Amanda had observed and shared with us on Facebook. Aeris has no problem being handled by any of my family members and had no trouble adjusting to her new surroundings. I know that can vary from hog to hog, but I do think that this is greatly due to them being handled often from babyhood by a caring breeder. My hedgie is the perfect addition to our family and spends her days sleeping in my shirt! She’s a complete joy and a balm to the depression that hits me when I’m home by myself all day.
